The mission of this program is to train highlyy qualified ophthalmic technicians capable of providing holistic high quality ophthalmic assistance in diverse clinical and academic settings locally, nationally and internationally.

Specific skills
- Provide primary vision care ranging from sight testing and correction to the diagnosis and management of vision changes
- Practice optometry technology, which primarily involves performing eye exams and vision tests
- Detect certain eye abnormalities and prescribing and dispensing corrective lenses
- Assist the ophthalmologists and eye surgeons

- Optometry Department
- Refraction centers and academic settings etc.
